Customer Journey – Engagement Ring Adam & Beth

What an absolute pleasure it was creating this ring. Adam came to me with some heirloom diamonds and wanted to make sure they could be incorporated into a design he had in mind. As you will be able to see he did an amazing job with the design and we created this beautiful ring.

How did you feel when you had to start looking for an engagement ring?

If I’m totally honest, I didn’t have the first clue where to start. The amount of options out there and all of the traditions surrounding engagement rings made it almost overwhelming at times. I had a vision of what I wanted but initially I didn’t have a clue how to get there. Once I heard about Stephanie Stevens Jewellery and the bespoke engagement rings she was creating, it immediately appealed to me.

How did you hear about Stephanie Stevens Jewellery?

The first time I heard of Stephanie Stevens Jewellery it was through a family member, but it didn’t take me long to discover more and research some of Steph’s previous work. I also found the website really user friendly and informative of how the ring making process would go and what options were available.

Why was it important for you to have a bespoke ring?

I had family heirloom diamonds that I wanted to incorporate into the ring. The appeal of the process being personal was also a huge draw to me and supporting a local business was particularly important, especially given the times. My Fiancée was so happy when she found out the ring had been made especially for her.

Main reason you chose Stephanie to design and make your ring?

After having only a brief exchange of messages with Steph, her enthusiasm and professionalism gave me total confidence and I knew I was speaking to the right person for the job. In addition, the website was so helpful and explained all elements of the process I could expect.

What was it like receiving the photos of your ring being made and how did it make you feel?

Being constantly updated on the status of the ring was incredible. Designing a bespoke engagement ring could easily be stressful or complicated but at no point did I feel anything like that. It was re-assuring and exciting seeing the ring take shape and continually allowed me to review each stage ensuring it was exactly what I wanted.

Your favourite part of the journey?

Favourite part of the journey of course had to be the big day, but most specifically, it was being able to show my Fiancée her bespoke ring throughout the design process, after the proposal. She knew that it was all created with her in mind, seeing it each step of the way. She was blown away.

Any tips you can give to partners looking for engagement rings?

My very first and most important tip would be to book in with Steph ASAP. Next, would be to start big and work in to the finer details as this is where Steph’s expertise will help steer you and design exactly how you want it. Use the website, it was so informative and going to Steph with at least the materials in mind will get you off to a flying start.

Tell us about the proposal 🙂

The proposal was amazing and luckily, the weather was on side after years of planning and months of organising. Adam knew where he wanted it do it but keeping it a surprise was the real challenge. On the day we found a stunning spot out of the wind, where it was just us and the sound of the waves below. Basking in the sun and enjoying a picnic, Beth went to take a photo of the ocean colours from the cliff top with her Polaroid camera and Adam took the opportunity to get the ring ready and ask the big question. We celebrated with a glass of Prosecco and went for a swim in the freezing water near Porthcurno. It was our perfect afternoon at our favourite place in the world.

How does it feel now you have your dream ring?

The ring is absolutely perfect. It has the highest quality finish and suits Beth so well. It is comfortable and the stones look pristine in the mounts. Not only is the ring exactly what I asked for but the making process makes it extra special, knowing what went into the ring and where it began it’s journey.

What does your ring mean to you?

The ring means the world to both of us. With the family heirloom stones incorporated and knowing that is was designed exclusively with Beth in mind, it truly is her ring. The journey behind it was enjoyable from start to finish for me and makes it all the more precious for Beth every time she looks at it on her hand.

Any other comments?

I can’t thank Steph enough for putting her heart and soul into making the ring. I never felt stressed or unclear about what was going on with the creation. I had total faith and knew that when it was ready it would be perfect. I never needed to change anything along the way but I knew I could discuss it freely if I ever did. We are so happy and the ring makes it all the more special.
