​WHY THEY ARE IMPORTANT

So let me first tell you why your wedding rings are so important. Not only do they represent you, they represent your marriage, nothing is more special than that.

On your wedding day everything is so important to make sure you have long lasting memories but your rings are the ones that are going to be with you for the long run.

You wear them everyday so they are part of you and your everyday life.

Wouldn’t it be amazing to know your ring will be passed down in generations, to know that a daughter or grandchildren will one day wear your ring as their own and have even more special memories, is such a special feeling.

LIFE LONG RINGS

To give you an idea of what metal is best for life long rings let me explain what happens to the metal while you wear it.

With platinum and palladium when the metal is scratched the metal moves on the ring, when you wear gold the metal scratches off so that’s why you will notice old gold rings are always wore down on the back of the bands.

This is bound to happen when you think about how much we use our hands day to day. Things we don’t think about that can scratch them are things like when we hold our keys, when we open doors, when we do exercise using weights, when you think about it, we are always using our hands so its bound to affect them.

GOLD IS A REALLY LOVELY METAL

I don’t want to put you off having gold because it’s a really lovely metal and with the different colours you can choose from there is so much choice. There is always a way to fix up your rings. Here’s a photo of how we added more gold to this ring to make the band strong again.

RING DEPTH THICKNESS

The other option to make your rings last longer is to have the depth thickness in a thicker size. This is something you may never have thought about. I always explain to my customers at a meeting about what this is and why I always suggest we go thicker so they last longer and are made with quality and sturdiness.
